| Detection Principal | This kit uses E. coli Poly(A) Polymerase to efficiently add a ≥150-base Poly(A) tail to the 3'-OH end of single-stranded RNA in the presence of ATP. If the RNA’s 3' end is phosphorylated, T4 Polynucleotide Kinase (T4 PNK) can be used first remove the phosphate group in the absence of ATP. Removal of T4 PNK and its corresponding reaction components can be done by column purification or gel extraction methods before tailing. |
