Gene ID | 10344 |
Accession | Q9Y258 |
Alternative Name | C-C motif chemokine 26, CC chemokine IMAC, Macrophage inflammatory protein 4-alpha, MIP-4-alpha, Small-inducible cytokine A26, Thymic stroma chemokine-1, TSC-1 |
Species | Human |
Source | E. coli |
Description | Both Eotaxin-2/CCL24 and Eotaxin-3/CCL26 are CC chemokines and functional ligands for CC chemokine receptor 3 (CCR3), which is preferentially expressed on eosinophils. Only 34% of the amino acids in Eotaxin-2/CCL24 and Eotaxin-3/CCL26 are identical, but these two chemokines have a common characteristic feature in terms of chemotaxis for eosinophils via the CCR3. |
