Gene ID | 2323 |
Accession | P49771 |
Alternative Name | Fms-related tyrosine kinase 3 ligand, Flt3 ligand, FLT3LG, Flt3L, SL cytokine |
Species | Human |
Source | E. coli |
Description | FLT-3 ligand promotes long- term expansion and differentiation of human pro-B cells in the presence of IL-7 or in combination of IL-7 and IL-3. The human flt-3 ligand also stimulates the proliferation of cells expressing murine flt-3 receptors. In combination with SCF and IL3, flt-3 ligand can cause expansion of cells with the marker spectrum CD34(+) CD38(-). Alone, flt- 3 ligand supports the survival of precursors in the lineage of blood-forming cells such as CFU-GM, CFU- GEMM, and the very primitive high proliferative potential colony-forming cells, HPP-CFC. flt-3 ligand only has marginal effects on progenitors for erythroid cells and megakaryocytes. |
Accession | P49771 |
Functions | The ED(50) was determined by the dose-dependent stimulation of the proliferation of Human AML5 cells was found to be in the range of 1.0 ng/mL. |
Formulation | Recombinant FLT-3 Ligand was lyophilized from a 0.2 ?m filtered PBS solution pH 7.0. |
Solubility | A quick spin of the vial followed by reconstitution in distilled water to a concentration not less than 0.1 mg/mL. This solution can then be diluted into other buffers. |
Appearance | Lyophilized Powder |

Storage Condition | The lyophilized protein is stable for at least one year from date of receipt at -70?C. Upon reconstitution, this cytokine can be stored in working aliquots at 2? - 8?C for one month, or at -20?C for six months, with a carrier protein without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles. |
