SpeciesHuman
SourceE. coli
Description IL1RN is found in the conditioned medium of a variety of cells and is produced by macrophages, monocytes, and neutrophils. The soluble form of IL1RN has been shown to be produced by hepatocytes and to be regulated by pro-inflammatory cytokines. It may help in the treatment of sepsis, cachexia, rheumatoid arthritis, chronic myelogenous leukemia, asthma, psoriasis, and inflammatory bowel disease.
Accession P18510
Functions The ED50 was determined by the ability to inhibit the IL-1 alpha mediated cell proliferation in a murine helper T cell line, for this effect, in the presence of 50 pg/mL of IL-1 alpha, is typically 20-60 ng/mL
FormulationLyophilized from a 0.2 ?m filtered tris solution with sodium chloride (pH 7.5)
Solubility A quick spin of the vial followed by reconstitution in distilled water to a concentration not less than 0.1 mg/mL. This solution can then be diluted into other buffers.
Appearance Lyophilized Powder
Molecular Weight17
Purity>95% as determined by SDS-PAGE
Concentration < 1.0 EU/μg of recombinant protein as determined by the LAL method.
Shipping ConditionAmbient Temperature
Storage Condition The lyophilized protein is stable for at least one year from date of receipt at -70?C. Upon reconstitution, this cytokine can be stored in working aliquots at 2? - 8?C for one month, or at -20?C for six months, with a carrier protein without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
